The territorial extent of the Act is set out in section 63.
The provisions of the Act and regulations made under it are enforceable against all persons within the UK. The Act also enables sanctions regulations to be enforced against all UK persons abroad.
The provisions of Part 1 of the Act and regulations made under it can be extended to the British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies by Order in Council.
The matters to which the provisions of the Act relate are not within the legislative competence of the Scottish Parliament, the National Assembly for Wales or the Northern Ireland Assembly.
